My story

My name is Kaylie Jonkers, and I am a certified dog coach/ behaviorist based in Eindhoven.

My love for dogs has always been a constant in my life. It all started with the wonder about how dogs communicate — and the realization that each dog does this in a unique way. Over the years, I’ve learned that every behaviour a dog shows is telling a story. Sometimes it’s a story rooted in fear, insecurity, overstimulation, or the dog’s temperament. Other times, it’s their way of saying: “I don’t understand right now.”

My mission with “Kwispelend Geluk” is to help dog owners learn to understand that language, so that calm, trust, and a deeper connection can emerge between the dog and its owner.

''My greatest teachers are my own dogs: Nova, Lotus, and Lily'' .

Nova taught me how motivated and eager a dog can be. Her boundless enthusiasm drove me to make training fun and engaging. Together, we spent 1.5 years training at the Kynologenclub de Kempen Geldrop.

Lotus is a very different type — naturally calm and obedient. She reminds me every day how important clear communication and calmness is.

Recently, Lotus had her first litter. During her pregnancy, I saw how hormonal changes can affect behaviour. She became more sensitive and needed more guidance. Since there was only one pup, we got so attached to her, that Lily is staying with us. Throughout this entire period, it was remarkable to witness how the maternal instinct works - Lotus did everything intuitively.

To deepen my knowledge, I completed Dog Behaviour & Training Levels 1, 2, and 3 at the AWA Academy according the theory of Anniek Winters. This training changed the way I look at dog behaviour: now I understand the dog’s basic needs and discovered why rest, clarity, and trust are so crucial in guidance.

Besides that, I have studied many different theories, including the methods of Turid Rugaas, Martin Gaus, Cesar Millan, Nadieh Cuijten, and Adam Spivey — because every approach has valuable insights.

In my work as a dog coach, I don’t believe in a “quick fix” or a one-size-fits-all solution. Every dog is unique. That’s why I use methods tailored to the individual needs, emotions, and motivations of each dog.

Do you want to know how I can help you and your dog?

Feel free to contact me without obligation or schedule an intake session.

My approach doesn’t only focus on the dog’s behaviour — I also consider the owner’s insight and feelings. Because I believe that true “Kwispelend Geluk” (Wagging Happiness) only emerges when both understand each other.
